Greetings fellow disc golf enthusiasts!  The 2007 Madison Women’s Night will be kicking off soon.  The show will run a little differently this year, so read carefully. Women’s Night will be held on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month and will alternate between Elver and Hiestand Parks on a monthly basis.  Simply put:

May 21st at Hiestand Park

June 4th & 18th at Elver Park

July 2nd & 16th at Hiestand Park

August 6th & 20th at Elver Park

From 5:15 to 5:45 pm on each night, I will hold a disc golf clinic designed for the inexperienced disc golfing female.  All who attend will receive a new, beginner friendly disc.

At 5:45 pm, we will play one round of random-draw, best-shot doubles with bragging rights on the line.  Feel free to attend only the clinic or vice versa.

As always, league is free and refreshments will be provided!

Lastly, if you would like to donate any new, light-weight discs for the clinic, please let me know.  My stock of give-away discs is running low.  Additionally, if you would like to donate water or Gatorade, send me a line.

The first Women's Night was a blast!  We had five women last night, including two newbies.  Welcome Sara and Emily.  I wish I could report scores, but I'm not sure anybody kept track.  Sarah K brought yummie Reeses snacks and water.  Beni brought cookies.  The highlight of the evening was Kim's sick skip ace on 18.  Next Women's night will be on June 4th at Elver.

We had five women at Women's Night, including two newbies:  Cary and Michelle.  Michelle has been playing for quite some time, while Cary is new to the sport.  We had fun playing disc golf and eating Ben's lemon cookies.  Next Women's Night is at Elver on June 18.

Women's Night is at Elver Park tonight.  At 5:15, there will be a clinic for beginners. At 5:45, we will play one round of random draw best shot doubles.  Cookies will be provided!

Important Note!!  There is potential for severe weather tonight.  Please check the weather forecast/radar before you head out to Elver.  If it looks like there will be storms between 5:30-8:00, do not show up.  Use your best judgement. We do not want weather-related injuries or fatalities!
