1. Next Meeting: Monday, April 9, 2007 @ 6:30pm
Location: Madison Public Library: Pinney Branch

Kipp suggested meeting after League to increase participation during the Summer.
May will be a good time to try this, as we don't have a location confirmed.

2. Finances:
  a. Beginning Balance: 1,756.90
  b. Additions:
  c. Subtractions:
  d. Ending balance:
  f. Jamie Royea will be investigating/setting up a PayPal account for the club.
     (This will facilitate online payments)

3. What are we going to do in 2007?
Here are the GOALS for MADC for 2007.
We recognize that the most important thing we can do
for 2007 will be to maintain the awesome courses that
we already have in the ground and continue to have a
good working relationship with the city and neighborhoods.
  (Do hold us accountable)

  In Priority order

  a. Elver Park Rennovations update (Todd Ebens)
      --no report
  b. Hiestand Rennovations (Brad Wendt)
--Reviewed course. Baskets need to be pulled.
(Baskets were pulled. Hiestand is CLOSED until May 1st)
PLEASE STAY OFF THE COURSE for EVERYBODY'S BENEFIT
--100 lbs. of Grass Seed available.
--Let's check out an 8 foot diameter matt for one basket
---Jamie Royea will find options online and present for purchase
estimate is ~ $125.  (Decision can be made by email.)
The practice basket is a good place to try it.
--How about using a router to carve and paint the Hole info in the 4x4 posts?
Yes. This can be tried on a post.
--There are four new baskets in storage. Basket #14 and Practice basket
are candidates for replacement. Or, just install the four new ones and
rotate old ones as spares.  This will be done when baskets are installed May 1st.

  c. Adopt-A-Hole
      1. Hiestand (Mike Farnham)
      2. Elver  (Kipp Van Orsdel)
--Kipp has article ready for Newsletter
          --Play-It-Again-Sports offering 20% discount for Adopt-A-Hole volunteers
            whether Hiestand or Elver.
--Will also check with Paradigm Gardens
--Kipp and I will draft and send letter to Wal-Mart requesting trash cans
and challenging them to match the West-side Wal-Mart's contribution.

  e. Tournaments:
     1. Pro & AM Worlds in WI
-Brad is still looking for volunteers for the Distance Competition.
          Plan your vacation now.
-Brad will find out how Tee Signs are for Pro-Worlds & Am-Worlds
also will check for sponsoring the Distance competition.  He will
then determine the best exposure for the buck.

     2. 15th Annual Mad City Open (Brad + MCO Team)
-Website is now available as a page on the MADC website. Link on home page.

  f. Bag Tag Challenge (Kipp)
    --Kipp is ready to order.
--He'll order 150 Red Motel Key Tag type Bag Tags
--The order will be placed via the web once the PayPal Account has been established.

4. Other stuff
  a. Change name from Madison Area Disc Club to MadCityDisc (Brad)
-Deferred, as best I can tell.
   b. Communications (Mike)
    Newsletter:
-Kipp prepared some articles on Adopt-A-Hole and Bag Tag
  -Deferred thus far

  c. Disc Golf Talk @ Jefferson High School (Kipp/Mike)
      -Deferred

  d. Expanding Disc Golf in the Madison-area
      -Deferred

  e. New Design/Logo (Kipp)
      -No update from John Dorn

5. New Items
  a. Establish Basket Fund (Mike)
-To be discussed, at the next meeting
Question: What will the Basket Fund fund?
        Options:
         1. Madison courses for replacement baskets
         2. Future courses in Dane County - matching basket funds
         3. Other clubs courses. For example, Rock River Disc Club is looking to add 9 baskets.
     -will be discussed in April.

  b. Tuesday League on Film (Chad "Big Hyzer" Inman)
-Special Guest Presenter Chad "Big Hyzer" Inman
would like to videotape the Tuesday night Handicap League
and specifically videotape the Winner and the Winner's group.
The video would be aired on WYOU, in the same time slot,
as Disc Golf Live - Thursdays @ 4pm (or so)

He also proposed some kind of points system.

Bottomline: The board fully endorses and blesses Chad
in his endeavour to provide live action footage of Disc Golf.
Chad will speak with Dave DeLap.

  c. Should we be ordering new discs?
     -will be discussed in April.

  d. Hiestand Neighborhood Association (HNA)
-Received the first newsletter from HNA for March, 2007
--Most of it concerned police reports
--They did mention the Hiestand Park plan is going forward
--Also, Earth Day is April 22nd, so the weekend could be considered
Earth Day weekend, do your part and help clean up a park.
(This would be a GoodTime(tm) to consider Adopting a hole on
one of the disc golf courses.)
