                            72.00 (P.O. Box renewal)
   d. Ending balance:    1,766.90

3. What are we going to do in 2007?
Here are the GOALS for MADC for 2007.
We recognize that the most important thing we can do
for 2007 will be to maintain the awesome courses that
we alrady have in the ground.
   (Do hold us accountable)

   In Priority order

   a. Elver Park Rennovations update (Todd Ebens)
NOTE: We do not have an official Course Pro for Elver
-Brad indicated Todd has some written notes,
but has not produced a formal document.

   b. Hiestand Rennovations (Brad Wendt)
-Brad indicated he put a new TeePad signs
that fit the vertical form factor better
-Brad indicated the course will likely be pulled
after the MadTown Throwdown unless there is a good
       snow/freeze.
-The baskets may need to be removed manually,
as it might not be possible to drive a truck on the course
-Also, we need to coordinate with a Parks Department employee
to open up Franklin field for access to the basket storage area.
-Brad suggested we could setup a temporary course,
on Saturdays for League, at various parks throughout
Madison. The trade-off being setup time for travel time.
(DISCLAIMER: MADC does not run the area leagues,
however, the people running the leagues are very likely MADC members.)

   c. Hiestand Trash - (Nic)
-Nic indicated he has not yet pursued obtaining trash cans
-Kipp indicated we could challenge the East-side Wal-Mart
to match the West-side Wal-Mart's donation
-Nic indicated he has gotten verbal commitments from
6 or 7 Hiestand disc golfers.
-Nic intends to write-up some Adopt-A-Hole guidelines
-Nic asked about getting/distributing trash bags for the cans
(Dan Madden has indicated he has trash bags. Brad said Dan
got the bags from the Parks Department.
-Sounds like there will be metal trash cans located at
Tee Pad #1 and across from #4.  Possibly, we can get
a metal trash can by #17 Pro TeePad. We need to check
and see if the Parks Department will pick it up.
-Brad indicated he would like to have "party" meetings
for the Adopt-A-Holers to enourage them to also remove
sticks from the fairways to make it easier for lawn mowing.
(All disc golfers can contribute here, as well as taking
        their trash with them)

   d. Elver Adopt-A-Hole (Waiting)
-Ben and Marie will not be continuing with Adopt-A-Hole @ Elver
-They have approached Galen Wiese to see if he and the UW Disc
Golf Club would like to coordinate the project.  Good publicity.
-Mike will provide the email addresses of the Adopt-A-Holers to Nic.
-Still looking for a coordinator for Elver.

   e. Tournaments:
      1. Discs on Ice (Rob Grether)
-Rob updated us on his inability to finance the tournament.
Badger Swim-n-Stix/Great American Pastimes Center are no
          longer viable companies.
-He asked if MADC would consider purchasing the discs for
Disc Golf portion of the tournament, and cover the other
associated costs (100 Discs = $500 or so, Port-a-potties, Park rental about $700 total)
-Rob still intends to promote Discs on Ice, but there won't
be much to promote without discs for the amateurs and those
who would like to purchase them.

      2. Pro & AM Worlds in WI
-Brad will be coordinating the distance competition
for both Pro & AM Worlds. AM is one day. Pro is 2 days.
He would like to get 10 MADC Volunteers to work each
          competition.
-Brad also proposed we donate $100-$150 for a TeePad sign
          @ each tournament.
Vote Taken: 5 in favor, 0 opposed
Note: Actual cost appears to be less per sign

      3. 15th Annual Mad City Open (Brad + MCO Team)
         -no discussion

   f. Bag Tag Challenge (Kipp)
-Kipp presented a number of alternatives
-The hotel key design was selected with Red as the color
       so it would be noticeable.
-Kipp will check to see if the MADC PI logo will fit on the tag
      -150 tags will be ordered
-The tags will be distributed @ the first "bag tag" event
-The remainder of the tags will be mailed to members

   g. Badger Swim-n-Stix Putting League (Mike)
      a. Monday nights @ 7:30pm
      b. Once a month coincide with MADC Club Meeting
-Not gonna happen due to venue change

4. Other stuff
   a. Change name from Madison Area Disc Club to MadCityDisc (Brad)
-Brad proposed changing the club name from Madison Area Disc Club
to Mad City Disc.  The reasons are:
      1. There is the Mid-Atlantic Disc Club (also MADC)
      2. Our website is madcitydisc.org
-We discussed what needed to be done.
       -Checking account, Articles of Corporation
-Since we are changing the name of the corporation
and the corporation name is in the by-laws we are
technically changing the by-laws so we need to
       create a referendum.
-Everybody was in favor of going with the new name

   b. Communications (Mike)
-Mike described his efforts to further get the word
       about MADC

   c. Disc Golf Talk @ Jefferson High School (Kipp/Mike)
      1. We received an email from Dena Smith, on 9/8/2006
-Brad thought it best to have somebody who knows what
they are doing to be doing the teaching. The other
volunteers don't have to be a teacher.

   d. Expanding Disc Golf in the Madison-area
      -deferred

   e. Chipping up the Pine Trees.
-City provides us with wood chips, whether they chip
trees on the course or not.  It is a "crazy" idea.
