This is the official, MADC endorsed thread for the 2006 MADC Fall Picnic!  Details are still being worked out, so check back for updates.

The MADC Presents the
2006 MADC Fall Picnic

November 18th at Elver Park
(Rain Date:  November 19th)

Best Shot Doubles Begins at 10:00

Glass Nickel Pizza to be Served around Noon.

Unfortunately, the picnic could not be held at Olin Park this year, but it will still be worth your time to venture out to the gathering. Temp holes will be set up at Elver.  There will be a two-round best shot doubles mini tournament starting at 10:00 a.m.  Entry fee is $5.  Teams will be switched after the 1st round with prizes going to the winners of each round, and the top finishers overall.  This will be the LAST chance to play Elver park this year!!  There will also be additional games with prizes, and there will be a raflle (prizes to be determined..).

AND...the picnic will also be an opportunity for club members and nonmembers to witness and participate in disc golf basket and trash basket removal from the course.  After the 2nd round of golf ends, the baskets will be removed and stored.  With the help of the club members, this job can be completed in record time!

Keep checking this thread for updates!!

As far as I can tell, everything looked good for storing the garbage cans.
Brad indicated the Parks Department was pleased with our effort to keep Elver clean.

Good.  I'm planning on coming to the picnic and hopefully being able to stay to help pull the course, but it depends on Mary's work schedule how late I can stay

MADC elections will also take place at the picnic. Todd mentioned he won't  be running for president. MIke can you set something up for people to throw there hats in the ring for what  ever positions are open (maybe a seperate thread). I'll probably run for V.P. again.

I posted a MADC Fall 2006 Picnic flyer/poster @ Hiestand,
and also distirbuted them to: Play-It-Again-Sports, Old Towne Pub and Badger Swim-n-Stix.

Marie maybe we can connect on campus or @ Elver or Tuesday night, and you guys can put one @ Elver.

I'll try and post one @ SportsWorld this coming week.
Galen knows about the picnic so he should be getting the word out to the Badger Disc Clubbers.

I'll see if Ale Asylum and Sports Pub have a place to post them, as well.

I'll print up some more if others want to distribute them.

Also, Play-It-Again Sports and Badger Swim-n-Stix kicked in some discs as CTP or Raffle prizes -- our choice.

Does anyone know if Todd is going - bringing any Gateway merch?
I want to try one of these "inferno" discs.

Would people consider it graffiti or in "poor taste" if I were to use
chalk on Tee Pad #1 @ Elver to promote the MADC Fall 2006 Picnic?

(Sort of like what they do down here on campus)

Long-range forecast continues to look good for the Picnic.
Hopefully, this will maintain whether you are hunting or discin'.

But, I say let Bambi be and Join the Fun.
