What is a MADC Bag Tag?

Picture
The purpose of the MADC Bag Tag Challenge is to have fun and follow the rules and spirit of disc golf. You can also add another element to personal, league and tournament rounds of disc golf by participating in Bag Tag Challenges.

The goal is to have the lowest numbered Bag Tag possible. When players participate in Bag Tag challenges, the player with the lowest round score earns the lowest numbered Bag Tag among the challengers.

All Madison Area Disc Club members will receive a MADC Bag Tag as part of the membership package. Once you receive your Bag Tag please display it where others can easily see it. You must have your Bag Tag with you to participate in any challenges. Please do not avoid challenges by leaving your Bag Tag at home or by concealing your Bag Tag.

More information about the Bag Tags and Challenges can be found on the MADC Forum.

Bag Tag Challenge Rules

  1. Tags must be attached to bags and carried whenever you are playing
  2. You may challenge anyone carrying a tag
  3. The challenge must be accepted by each participating player to be valid
  4. You may refuse a challenge if you are out practicing (this is acceptable occasionally)
  5. If you have to leave during a challenge round (for any reason) you will forfeit your tag and graciously accept the highest numbered tag in the group
  6. At all singles tournaments the Tag Master will collect tags from players present and redistribute them after the event completion, in order of the scores
  7. The current years' tag set will remain active until that years' MADC Club Picnic .
  8. New tags will be distributed at the MADC Spring Kickoff event (or any time thereafter) and will be available in the membership package. Keep your old one as a trophy.
