With the growth of disc golf as a sport, so does the demand for more courses in the area. In turn there is an even higher demand for volunteers to conduct maintenance, design and
implementation efforts. Without our members this could not happen. MADC hosts this annual event as a way of giving thanks to our members for their continued support.

2:30   pm   Doubles Registration
3:00   pm   Doubles Round Begins

The singles round and lunch are FREE to 2012 MADC members. You must be a current member of the club to participate. You may join the club and participate the day of this event. It is $15 to become a member and you will receive a 2012 MADC Bag Tag. 

The afternoon doubles round is optional and there is a fee of $5 per person.

Is it random draw doubles or choose your own partner?

Hello,
I play in the area quite a bit and was interesting in entering the doubles portion of this event with a friend, but just had a couple of quick questions.

First, I was wondering if the partners would be randomly drawn?

Second, I was wondering what the doubles format would be?

Third, I was wondering if non-members were allowed to participate. And, if so, if I am not currently a member, do I need to join the club for $15 + pay $5 for the event ... or do I just need to pay $5 for the event?

To answer both comments, we generally play random-draw, best-shot doubles. Since the Fall Picnic is an event that serves as a thank you to our members, we do ask that people that wish to participate in any portion, including doubles, be members of the club. So, yes, it would be $15 to join plus $5 for the doubles (the doubles money goes towards payout for the top teams and usually an Ace Pool). Membership also gets you the singles round, bag tag, lunch (Ian's Pizza), and participation in some fun games (like a blind CTP shot over the shelter) with prizes for the winners. Membership runs until the 2013 Spring Kickoff, typically in early May.

Hey DC, $15 - 20 (playing doubles event) well spent! Suport the sport locally! Good people take care of your hard earned donated dollors.

Only $15 for membership! Wow this is quite unbelievable! Last year I missed the event due to some family issues, but I saw the recordings and it was awesome. Expecting the same entertainment this year also!
